Jitiya Vrat 2022 - जितिया पर्व - This festival is very important in India. This vrat is related to mother and son and it is always observed on Ashtami tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month. In Hinduism, women have great faith in Jitiya. This festival is also called Jivitputrika Vrat. These fasts are observed by mothers for the long life and happiness of their children. Along with this, they praise the Katha of jivitputrika vrat and wish each other. Just like Chhath Puja, Nirjala fasts in it. This year this Jitiya vrat is starting from 17 September which will last for about 36 hours.
This fast starts from Saptami and will continue till Navami Tithi. This special thing is specially celebrated in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
