Tulja Bhavani Temple (तुलजा भवानी मंदिर) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Bhavani. It is located in Tuljapur (तुलजापुर), Osmanabad, the district of Maharashtra. It is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peeth (51 शक्तिपीठों) Which is also known as other name of Tulaja, Turja, Tekta, Amba and Jagadamba. Tulja Bhavani is a form of Durga worshipped in Maharashtra, and also worshiped by Rajputs of northern Gujarat, Telangana, northern Karnataka, western Rajasthan and Punjab. A special feature of this Tulja Bhavani temple of Tuljapur is that this temple is seen facing towards the south. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज), the greatest and bravest king, was also a great devotee of mata Tulja Bhavani.
